About Offset Zero

Offset zero is the first byte of a captured frame, the place a protocol analyzer starts reading. This site takes the same approach to the CCNA 200-301 exam: start at Cisco’s own pages, then read outward. Offset Zero is independent of Cisco, and Cisco has not reviewed anything published here.

The source routine behind every fact

  1. Start at the owner’s page

Fees, policies, dates and exam details are read on Cisco’s CCNA exam page, the certification page and FAQ, the exam policies, and the topic lists and roadmap on the Cisco Learning Network.

  2. Carry the source with the figure

A fee, number or date on a fact page sits next to its source link, and each page lists its sources with the day they were read.

  3. Stop where Cisco stops

Cisco publishes no question count and no passing score for 200-301, so neither appears here. The CCNA passing score page sets out what your score report does show.

  4. Leave out conflicting numbers

When a prep site prints a different fee or a longer retake wait than Cisco’s pages, the other number stays off this site.

  5. Reread at a version change

The move to the v2.0 topic list in February 2027 means pages tied to topics are reread against both lists; the CCNA version page tracks the switch.

What you will find here

The spine is the CCNA study guide: Cisco’s six blueprint domains split into smaller study areas, each with its own review page and practice set. Cisco publishes the six domain weights; the finer split across study areas is our estimate and is marked as one where it appears.

Around the spine sit concept pages on the pairs that are easy to mix up (administrative distance and metric, native and access VLANs, TACACS+ and RADIUS), fact pages on fees, format, retakes and versions, comparisons with neighboring certifications, and a flashcard deck.

The practice frames are written for study; none is a Cisco item or recalled from a live sitting. Each was solved blind before its key was compared, disputed keys were kept off the site, and each answer choice is explained in its own line, the right one and the wrong ones alike. Technical points are checked against RFCs, IEEE standards and Cisco configuration guides.

Who publishes it, and the names used

Offset Zero comes from the same small publisher as the CCNA 200-301 Exam Prep app for iPhone and Android. Practice on this site costs nothing and needs no account.

The names Cisco, CCNA, CCNP, CCST, Cisco Packet Tracer and Cisco Modeling Labs belong to Cisco; a page uses them to identify the exam or tool it discusses. No Cisco exam vouchers or training are sold here, and nothing on the site comes from Cisco or its training programs. The privacy page covers what is logged when you tap an app button.
