What the pages themselves do
Every page is a prebuilt HTML file, served as it is. Fonts, scripts and images come from this domain, and no outside script, tag or pixel loads on any page.
The practice and timed sets hold your picks, the clock and the score in the open tab only. They write nothing to your device and send no answer anywhere; reload and the set starts clean. The one extra request a set makes fetches its remaining frames from this site’s own /assets/ folder.
Like any web host, the hosting network that delivers these pages receives your IP address and browser details in order to answer each request, and handles that under its own terms. We add no tracking of our own on top of it.
The app redirect and its click log
This is the only place the site logs anything about a visit.
Each “Get the app” button on this site points at go.ccna-exam-blueprint.com/app, a small redirect we run ourselves. An iPhone or iPad goes to the App Store listing of the app, an Android phone to its Google Play listing, and any other device sees a short landing page with both store badges. After answering, the redirect sends a log record from the server; nothing runs in your browser, no cookie is set and no identifier is handed to you, so there is nothing to clear afterwards.
| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Event | app when the redirect itself is opened; out when you pick a store badge on the landing page, so one desktop visit can write two rows |
| Page | the address of the page you tapped from, read from the link (pg) or, failing that, from the Referer header |
| Button | the place of the button, as logged: top, hero, rail, band, menu or 404 |
| Device | the operating system family read from the user-agent string |
| Destination | store (an App Store or Google Play listing) or web (the free practice set on this site); empty when only the landing page was shown |
| Network | your IP address, its network number (ASN) and the network operator’s name |
| Location | a rough location worked out from the IP address (country, region, city, time zone) and the Cloudflare edge code that served the request |
| Browser | the user-agent string and the referring page, as your browser sends them |
| Link extras | any other query parameters on the link, such as utm tags |
| Time | when the redirect happened |
Labels on the store links
- App Store link
- Carries a campaign token
ctset to this site’s domain, plus the provider tokenptof the account that publishes the app. Apple uses them to count, in the publisher’s own App Store reports, downloads that began on a link from this site. - Google Play link
- Carries a
referrervalue withutm_sourceset to this site’s domain, which the publisher can read back through Google Play’s install referrer to see the same count.
What the log is for, and what is never collected
The click log answers one question: which pages and which buttons send readers to the app. It holds no name, email address, account or device identifier, and nothing links one tap to another beyond the IP address and browser string your device sent with it.
The site never collects:
- anything stored on your device: cookies, local storage entries, identifiers;
- analytics, heatmaps, session recordings or advertising pixels;
- your answers, scores or timings from the practice and timed sets;
- an email address, a name or a sign-up of any kind.
Once you install the app, it is covered by its own privacy policy, which both stores link from the app’s listing. Questions about this page follow the route on the contact page.
