Every way to pay that Cisco lists
| Option | Price | What it covers | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Exam fee | US$300 plus tax | One attempt at 200-301, paid when you book | CCNA exam page |
| Exam voucher | US$300 | One exam; valid 365 days from purchase | CCNA FAQ |
| Exam Safeguard Plus | US$450 | A second attempt if the first one fails, taken within 90 days | CCNA FAQ |
| Cisco Learning Credits | Credits in place of cash | The exam fee | CCNA exam page |
The final amount in your currency, with any tax, appears on the checkout screen.
Plain fee or Safeguard Plus
The arithmetic is short. Two separately paid attempts come to US$600. Safeguard Plus covers the same pair for US$450, provided the second attempt falls inside the 90-day window Cisco sets (Cisco CCNA FAQ). Pass on the first attempt and Safeguard Plus has cost you US$150 above the plain fee.
Two clocks govern any second attempt: the five-day wait after a failed exam and the Safeguard Plus window. The CCNA retake policy sets them side by side, with the 180-day rule that applies after a pass.
Training is a separate line
The exam fee buys the exam. Cisco names its own preparation routes, among them the Cisco U. learning path, instructor-led classes, the Cisco U. practice exam and Cisco Modeling Labs, without prices on the pages checked, so this site quotes no course cost. The exam page does say you can start Cisco Modeling Labs for free.
Before you pay
- Confirm you are booking 200-301 and which CCNA version your test date falls under.
- Check that the name on your Cisco profile matches your government-issued ID exactly.
- Choose between the plain fee and Safeguard Plus before checkout.
- Look up the price in your own currency; US$300 is the US figure.
- Read the CCNA requirements: Cisco sets no formal prerequisite.
Paying for 200-301
Can Cisco Learning Credits pay for the CCNA exam?
Yes. Cisco’s CCNA exam page lists Learning Credits as an alternative to paying the US$300 fee in cash.
Is the CCNA fee different outside the US?
Cisco lists US$300 plus tax (Cisco certifications FAQ). Prices in other currencies can differ, and the amount shown when you book is the one you pay.
Does the exam fee include study materials?
No. The fee covers the exam only. Free practice is available on this site through the CCNA practice test, and the study materials comparison lists paid options with dated facts.
